Reflexology Basic Certification
Our experiential program includes an in-depth study of the history, principles and benefits of reflexology, in addition to covering protocols for foot, hand and ear reflexology sessions. Our program is inspiring and thorough - you will leave with the confidence that you will be able to help facilitate others' physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Upon completion of our two-part Basic Certification Training, you will have the skills to give a reflexology session to family and friends and have the option to continue on to our advanced training, the next step toward Professional Certification. about Reflexology
Students come from throughout the U.S. and overseas to study with Laura’s Certified Instructors, Sande Rosen and Michael Edan. Sande and Michael,
both active Nationally Certified Reflexologists and graduates of the Laura Norman ReflexologySM Certification Training Program, bring over fifty years of combined experience teaching the Laura Norman Method of ReflexologySM.
Part 1 is your hands-on introduction to the science and art of reflexology, and to Laura's unique, holistic approach, the Laura Norman Method of ReflexologySM. Your experienced instructor will explain the theory, principles, benefits and history of how reflexology works. Part 1 covers Laura Norman Foot ReflexologySM (Part 2 covers Laura Norman Hand and Ear Reflexology plus how to use all three together), and you will study the 10 energy zones (5 on each foot) and how reflex areas on the feet correlate with the various areas/organs of the body. In addition to covering 50 relaxation techniques, most of which are unique to the Laura Norman MethodSM, you will learn key reflexology techniques including thumb walking, finger walking, hook and back up, and rotation on a point. In Part 1 of our comprehensive program we include a basic Laura Norman Foot ReflexologySM session order/protocol, over 14 hours of practice exercises plus tips on posture & breathing, what a client will experience, and what a practitioner may expect to find. Basic Certification - Part 2
Part 2 continues your hands-on training in the Laura Norman Method of ReflexologySM with over 12 hours of practice exercises. Building on Laura Norman Foot ReflexologySM, covered in Part 1, you will learn Laura Norman Hand and Ear Reflexology techniques and protocols, plus how to use all three together. With a basic understanding of Laura Norman ReflexologySM, you are ready for practical instruction on complementary approaches to reflexology such as aromatherapy, directing positive affirmations and visualization. You will gain an understanding of general guidelines to use for giving sessions and, upon completion of our two-part Basic Certification Training, you will have the skills to give a reflexology session to family and friends, and to continue on to our Advanced Certification training, the next step toward National Certification. To receive your Basic Certificate of Completion, in addition to taking our classes,you must complete the required reading, pass written and practical evaluations,and complete four (4) private one-on-one tutorials to refine your technique.
Complete all Laura Norman ReflexologySM Basic & Advanced Certificationclasses and you may apprentice for free in any class by assisting the instructorand students.
Our Advanced Certification Program is for those who have completed Basic Certificationand wish to complete the training necessary to practice Reflexology professionally.

Advanced Certification - Part 3
Continue your journey to professional certification. In Part 3 you:
- Learn and practice additional advanced therapeutic
techniques for the lower legs and feet. - Explore the relationship between Reflexology and
anatomy & physiology - Focus on the specific anatomy and physiology of the
lower legs and feet, including their impact on the interrelated systems of the body - Understand the role that biomechanics, gait analysis, foot
function and shoe assessment play in effective reflexology
- Study foot pathologies and their relationship to the

In the last part of the classroom portion of your training (see Requirements to Practice for the other parts of the Program), you will learn how to:
- Evaluate a health history
- Observe and record client progress
- Design sessions for a multitude of conditions
- Work with specific populations (infants, children, women, athletes, seniors, the terminally ill, people with addictions, etc.)
- Use professional terminology for communicating with health

Requirements to Practice
To become a Laura NormanSM Certified Reflexologist and enjoy the prestige, status and credibility it brings, successfully complete Laura Norman ReflexologySM Basic and Advanced Certification Training, required reading, approximately 50 hours of homework assignments plus:
- pass all written and practical evaluations
- complete 100 documented Reflexology sessions
- complete 8 private, one-on-one tutorials to further refine your skills
- attend the Laura Norman ReflexologySM Supervision Class
